Dilynn frowned upon hearing this, then fell into a pensive silence.

“This arena challenge is a rare opportunity to spar with opponents of similar strength. The more battles you experience, the more you temper yourself, which greatly benefits both your growth in power and your comprehension of the profound mysteries. So, there’s no need to rush into the fifteenth layer of the Divine Tomb,” said Qiankun.

At this, the God of War, High Priestess, and Hisai’s eyes lit up with thoughtful agreement.

Tarosa then soared to Dilynn’s side, clapped him on the shoulder, and said with a laugh, “Dilynn, the guardian of the eighth arena also practices the laws of Destruction. If you spar with him a few more times, perhaps your insight into Destruction will deepen, and you might break through to the realm of a mid-tier god!”

“Mid-tier god? I will definitely achieve that breakthrough,” Dilynn’s eyes shone with burning determination.

They were both born as divine beasts; though Tarosa had trained longer, Dilynn never felt himself inferior in any way. If Tarosa could attain the level of a mid-tier god and cultivate avatars of both Water and Destruction, why couldn’t he, Dilynn, reach the same through his own efforts?

“Haha... Take your time in your challenges! Tarosa, keep an eye on everyone. I’ll go meditate at the battle arena deep within the Magma Lake and wait for you all there. That spot is close to the entrance of the fifteenth layer of the Divine Tomb. Once you’ve honed yourselves enough, we’ll enter the fifteenth layer together,” Qiankun said with a laugh, then transformed into a gust of wind, flying toward the depths of the Magma Lake.

Tarosa couldn’t help but pout in mild annoyance—it seemed he’d become the babysitter on this journey through the Divine Tomb.

“Lord Tarosa, we’ll be counting on you,” Hisai said with a polite smile. Among them, his power was the weakest. Though he was good at survival, he only dared to face those rather strong lower god arena guardians with Tarosa’s help holding the line.

Tarosa rolled his eyes at Hisai. “Don’t worry! We’re all from the Yulan Continent, companions—I won’t let any of you lose your lives here.”

Qiankun immersed himself in quiet meditation, while Tarosa accompanied the God of War and the others as they challenged the arena guardians one by one.

Time slipped by silently; before they realized it, several years had passed. One day...

A hum... A formless wave of the world’s laws descended, startling Qiankun from his contemplation.

“Hm? It’s Dilynn! That fellow, after so many bouts with the guardian of the eighth arena, has finally broken through to become a mid-tier god,” Qiankun murmured with a smile as he opened his eyes.

Elsewhere, Tarosa, who had been feeling bored after countless challenges alongside the God of War, High Priestess, and Hisai, suddenly sensed the fluctuation in the world’s laws marking Dilynn’s breakthrough. His eyes widened in excited surprise: “Dilynn? He finally broke through!”

---

“What’s going on? That fluctuation—was it Dilynn? Did he advance to a mid-tier god?” The God of War, High Priestess, and Hisai, after their initial shock, couldn’t help but feel a twinge of envy. Dilynn had always been stronger than them; now, with his breakthrough, he would leave them even farther behind.

A moment later, Tarosa, Dilynn, the God of War, the High Priestess, and Hisai all gathered at the battle arena where Qiankun was waiting.

“Haha... Dilynn, congratulations! You’ve finally broken through,” Qiankun said, smiling at the spirited Dilynn.

Dilynn, however, could only offer a wry smile, “Qiankun, don’t tease me. I’ve only just become a mid-tier god. Compared to you, my strength is still far inferior!”

“You want to compare yourself with Qiankun? Dilynn, you’re still far behind me in terms of strength,” Tarosa said with a laugh, leaving Dilynn rather exasperated.

The God of War quickly added, “Lord Qiankun, we’ve trained and honed ourselves here for long enough. Shouldn’t we try our luck in the fifteenth layer of the Divine Tomb? So far, apart from you, none of us have obtained a divine spark!”

“Don’t worry! There are divine sparks to be found—it’s just a question of whether you have the ability to claim them,” Qiankun replied nonchalantly. “If you leave the Divine Tomb without obtaining a divine spark and truly wish to refine a mid-tier god’s spark, come to me.”

Hisai’s eyes lit up as he laughed, “It seems Lord Qiankun gained quite a bit when he slew that mid-tier god!”

The God of War was also delighted. Having become a god by refining a divine spark, his chances of personally breaking through to mid-tier god were slim; naturally, he longed to refine another mid-tier god spark.

Even the High Priestess, independent in her ascension, glanced at Qiankun with a hint of desire in her beautiful eyes. Though she had trained for over ten millennia without reaching mid-tier god, it was clear her talent was lacking. Refining a divine spark might be her best hope.

“Let’s go! To the fifteenth layer of the Divine Tomb,” Qiankun said, leading Tarosa and the others to a small island in the deepest part of the Magma Lake, where the entrance awaited.

They arrived at the entrance to the fifteenth layer of the Divine Tomb without hindrance. Upon entering, each of them grew solemn, for they could clearly sense waves of surging auras—those of god-level beings, and seemingly very powerful ones. Yet these auras were chaotic, not like those of living gods, but more like the remnants emanating from the corpses of fallen deities.

“This is the real tomb,” Qiankun and the others murmured on the plaza outside the entrance to the fifteenth layer, gazing at the endless, mountain-like tombs and feeling the chaotic, surging energies within. Each of them drew a sharp breath, visibly moved.

Tarosa’s eyes glimmered, “It seems that many of these divine tombs contain the auras of divine sparks and artifacts!”

“I fear those divine sparks and artifacts won’t be easy to claim, and there must be grave dangers within,” Dilynn cautioned.

---

Hearing Dilynn’s words, the previously eager God of War, High Priestess, and Hisai all sobered somewhat.

“It’s all right. The dangers in these divine tombs range from mild to severe. As long as you know your limits, your lives won’t be threatened. If you want artifacts and divine sparks, go ahead and try!” Qiankun said casually.

With that reassurance, the God of War, High Priestess, and Hisai hurried off to sense the auras emanating from the tombs, each choosing one that matched the laws and attributes they cultivated, and found their way inside to begin their trials.

“Dilynn, aren’t you going to try your luck?” Tarosa asked with a smile.

Dilynn shook his head, “No rush. These divine tombs are unlikely to be easily conquered. I’ve already reached the mid-tier god realm—what use is another mid-tier god spark to me? Besides, I have a feeling that for a mid-tier god, obtaining an artifact or spark from these tombs will be far harder than for a lower god.”

“Haha... Dilynn, you’ve learned a thing or two from this trip to the Divine Tomb,” Qiankun said with a smile, then continued, “Well, you all take your time here. I’m going to have a look at the sixteenth layer.”

As Qiankun vanished like the wind, Dilynn couldn’t help but shake his head with a helpless smile. “So, Qiankun has no interest in the artifacts and sparks in these tombs at all. I wonder what awaits in the sixteenth layer?”

“Stop overthinking. Let’s see for ourselves what dangers these divine tombs hold!” Tarosa said, shaking his head.

With that, Tarosa and Dilynn flew toward the seemingly endless expanse of divine tombs.

With his powerful soul, Qiankun easily located the entrance to the sixteenth layer of the Divine Tomb, flew straight there, and passed through the portal.

No sooner had he emerged than a bolt of lightning crashed down from the heavens, forcing him to flicker out of the way in alarm.
