Was it truly transmigration? With a slight frown and a brief moment of contemplation, the Ancient Patriarch of Heaven and Earth decided to cultivate a rather weak avatar from a single drop of his own blood, entrusting the system to send this avatar into the world of “Coiling Dragon,” while he himself devoted all his attention to refining a spiritual treasure from the hollow willow tree.

In the world of Coiling Dragon, within the boundless and infinite expanse, there exist countless ordinary planes. Above these material planes are the Four Supreme Planes and the Seven Divine Planes. The Yulan Continent is but one among innumerable material realms. The Yulan Plane has endured for ages untold—once, over ninety percent of its surface was land, but through the vicissitudes of time, only the Yulan Continent remains as the last vestige of land.

Deep within the number one mountain range of the Yulan Continent, the Mountain Range of Magical Beasts, in a secluded valley, the air began to ripple, twisting into a black vortex. From its depths, a figure floated gracefully out, landing upon a ground thickly carpeted with fallen leaves. The spatial vortex quickly vanished.

This was a handsome youth clad in a form-fitting black robe, an ancient black ring on his finger—the very avatar of the Ancient Patriarch of Heaven and Earth.

“Again in the forest?” The youth murmured to himself, sweeping his gaze over the dense woods. Sensing something, he suddenly turned, his eyes narrowing as he looked toward the mid-air behind him. “Hmm?”

With a howling whistle that tore through the air, a massive black dragon, at least a hundred meters long, swooped down from above, its enormous, fleshy wings spanning just as wide. Each black scale on its colossal body flashed with a chilling, cold gleam, and its eyes—large as wheels—stared icily at the youth, as if regarding an insignificant ant. “Despicable, weak human, how dare you trespass upon the territory of the mighty Saint Black Dragon, Ochs! Prepare to die!”

The black dragon Ochs, speaking in human tongue, opened its maw and spewed forth a jet of black flames several meters long. The breath seethed with scorching heat, enveloping the youth and instantly igniting the surrounding trees and leaves.

Yet as the flames gradually faded, the youth stood utterly unscathed, his expression calm as he gazed coolly at the wide-eyed, slightly stupefied black dragon Ochs. The corners of his mouth curled into a faint, mocking smile tinged with chill.

With a sudden leap, the youth smashed his fist directly into the black dragon Ochs, sending the mighty beast hurtling backward in a sorry state.

With a furious roar, the black dragon crashed through several trees before regaining its balance, looking on in shock and anger at the youth who now hovered effortlessly in the air. “A Saint-level expert? Even if you are a Saint, to challenge the dignity of Saint Black Dragon Ochs is to court death!”

“Saint-level expert?” The youth’s brow arched as he touched his nose, laughing softly. Though this body was weak—compared to his true self, the Ancient Patriarch of Heaven and Earth—it was still an avatar cultivated at will, possessing the power of an Earth Immortal. Flight was hardly an issue, and his physical body far surpassed that of an ordinary Earth Immortal. Thus, even if he could not fully employ the might of the Dao in this world, sheer strength alone meant he had nothing to fear from a Saint-level black dragon. Even the Saint Dragon’s breath could not harm him in the slightest.

With a swing of its tail like a massive steel whip, the Saint Black Dragon Ochs lashed out at the youth with such force that the very air seemed to shudder and warp.

With a wave of his hand, the youth caused the space before him to ripple slightly; with an invisible binding force, the steel-like black dragon tail was suddenly halted.

Immediately after, as the air resonated, the youth himself trembled slightly and was thrown backward, his brow furrowing as he glanced at the black dragon Ochs, whose tail also quivered and retreated a short distance. “The power of a Saint-level magical beast is indeed terrifying! Unfortunately, the spatial Dao in this world is too shallow. With my comprehension, I can barely summon the faintest trace of spatial force.”

“What trickery is this?” Black dragon Ochs stared at the youth in astonishment.

“Curious, are you? Submit to me—become my magical companion—and I’ll tell you,” the youth replied with an easy smile.

Ochs was momentarily stunned, then burst into rage. “You insolent wretch! How dare you insult the great Saint Black Dragon! For Ochs to be your magical pet? Dream on!”

As he spoke, black flames surged around Ochs, a terrifying wave of searing power radiating outward.

“Dragon’s might, is it?” Sensing that soul-shaking, intangible force, the youth’s eyes narrowed with interest, and with a faint smile, he actively flew closer to Ochs, provoking the dragon into furious wrath.

With a low, majestic roar, Ochs shot toward the youth, spewing torrents of scorching black flames. At the same time, his tail swept out like a whip, seeking to bind and crush the youth as if strangling him like a python.

Suspended in midair, the youth moved unhurriedly, his hands tracing circles—one drawing upon the world’s fire elemental energy, the other summoning the water element. Water and fire intertwined, forming a cosmic Taiji, the red and blue energies swirling and expanding, centering on the youth, rippling through the air, absorbing the power of the dragon’s flames, and blocking the approach of the dragon’s tail.

Sizzle—just as the dragon tail approached the red and blue Taiji, it was immediately invaded by the opposing forces of water and fire. The scales began to burn and freeze, then shattered, and dragon blood spattered to the forest floor.

With a pained howl, the Saint Black Dragon Ochs shuddered and hastily withdrew, trembling as he looked in horror at the red and blue Taiji spinning around the youth. “What...what is that? Magic? How can he manipulate water and fire so perfectly together? Such terrifying power!”

“As expected. Though my understanding of the Dao of Water and Fire Yin-Yang is shallow, because this world contains the profound mysteries of water and fire elements, the power I can draw forth is far greater,” the youth smiled, glancing up at Ochs, the amusement in his eyes deepening.

Seeing the growing smile at the youth’s lips, a sense of dread welled up in Ochs. Suddenly, his eyes widened as the large Taiji of red and blue energy shrank, its colors intensifying, transforming into a pillar of red and blue energy that shot straight toward him.

Like an aurora slashing across the sky, distorting space, and in the next instant, before the Saint Black Dragon Ochs could react or evade, it struck him squarely.

In a wretched, agonized scream, Ochs’s body shrank rapidly as the energy pierced through him. Though not a mortal wound, the bloody hole burned and froze at once, inflicting excruciating pain. Ochs crashed wretchedly into the forest, seriously injured.

The youth floated lightly toward the battered dragon, smiling cheerfully. “Well, Ochs, what will it be? Death, or will you submit to me?”

“You...” Ochs looked up at the youth in fury and fear, but as he met that sharp, chilling gaze, he felt an inexplicable shiver in his heart. In the end, his unwillingness to die and his fear of death overcame his dragon pride. After a moment’s silence, he let out a weak, resentful growl and lowered his noble head. “You are a true strong one. I, Saint Black Dragon Ochs, am willing to submit.”

The youth nodded in satisfaction with a smile. “Very well, Ochs. Prepare to set up the Equal Contract magic array.”
