Chapter Sixty-Three: Where is Wang Ran?!
Beiming Lie emerged from seclusion, carrying a boundless aura, his presence bearing down upon the Haoran Alliance.
This news rapidly spread throughout the Hall of Enforcement.
Countless disciples were astonished, all eager to investigate the rumor. Wang Ran had been in the spotlight for some time, attracting envy and resentment; many disliked him, yet none dared to challenge him, awed by his strength.
No one expected that Beiming Lie, among the four great alliances, would be the first to lose patience.
Some disciples who had wished to join the Haoran Alliance, but had not yet done so, breathed a sigh of relief, inwardly grateful. The four great alliances were deeply rooted in everyone’s minds, and few believed Wang Ran’s Haoran Alliance could stand against Beiming Lie.
Each person harbored their own thoughts, all rushing toward the Haoran Alliance, hoping to witness the clash of these two giants.
Meanwhile, Beiming Lie strode forward with aggressive momentum, his eyes filled with disdain, exuding an air of invincibility as he marched directly toward the Haoran Alliance.
He narrowed his eyes, surveying the luxurious hall before him: ancient trees soared, verdant shadows clustered, and golden glazed tiles sparkled brilliantly in the sunlight, as if the fate of the entire Fifth Mountain converged here. His expression turned cold.
After Wang Ran’s residence was rebuilt, its opulence became the seat of the Haoran Alliance.
Though Beiming Lie’s Northern Dipper Alliance was grand, it paled in comparison to this mansion.
Especially upon seeing the black golden nanmu plaque above the crimson lacquered gates, inscribed with the three bold characters for "Haoran Alliance," his anger only grew.
In his eyes, Wang Ran’s status was far beneath such a fine abode.
With seven parts coldness and three parts jealousy, Beiming Lie led his followers straight inside.
Now, the Haoran Alliance boasted numerous disciples, bustling at the entrance. Seeing Beiming Lie’s imposing arrival, they hesitated.
A disciple frowned, stepping forward in displeasure. "Who are you? How dare you barge into the Haoran Alliance? Don’t you know this is Senior Brother Wang’s residence?"
This disciple was formerly a mere member of the Hall of Enforcement, familiar with Beiming Lie’s name but never having met him. Seeing someone come to provoke, he spoke out in rebuke.
Beiming Lie, aloof, ignored the disciple and strode through the gates.
The disciple, unable to swallow his anger, rushed forward to argue, but one of Beiming Lie’s prodigies snorted coldly and struck out with a palm, sending the disciple flying more than ten meters, knocking him unconscious.
Instantly, the faces of all Haoran Alliance disciples changed; each glared at Beiming Lie with fury.
Beiming Lie paid no attention to any of them, his eyes narrowed, voice chilling: "Where is Wang Ran?"
"Who are you to seek our Senior Brother Wang?"
"You’re not welcome here!"
"Leave at once, or don’t blame us for being rude!"
Hearing his arrogant tone, the crowd rebuked him, yet none answered his question.
A fierce gleam flashed in Beiming Lie’s eyes. He stepped forward; a powerful aura erupted, enveloping the area, its pressure so intense that many disciples retreated.
Only then did they realize this man was stronger than they’d imagined, and silence fell.
"Where is Wang Ran!" Beiming Lie called again, his voice icy.
The disciples exchanged glances. At last, a prodigy stepped forward, speaking gravely: "Brother, our Haoran Alliance has Big Brother Xu Ke overseeing it. I advise you to curb your arrogance, lest you embarrass yourself."
Hearing this prodigy’s words, the rest felt reassured—indeed, Xu Ke was still with the Haoran Alliance. He was a formidable physique cultivator, feared by all.
Just as the disciples’ confidence rose, Beiming Lie scoffed, looking at the prodigy, "And what are you? You dare threaten me?"
The prodigy’s face stiffened. He was a five-star Foundation Establishment prodigy, respected in the alliance, never before so dismissed.
He gritted his teeth, formed a hand seal, and charged forward.
Beiming Lie’s lips curled in disdain. He casually struck with his palm, forcing the prodigy to stagger back a dozen steps.
"Even Brother Dong isn’t his match? How is that possible!"
"Brother Dong is a five-star prodigy, at the sixth layer of Foundation Establishment. How… how could he not withstand a single blow?"
"His cultivation is terrifying!"
"Wait, why does he look so familiar?"
"I remember now—he’s Beiming Lie!"
"What? Beiming Lie?"
Seeing the prodigy forced back, the disciples of the Haoran Alliance were stunned; then someone recognized Beiming Lie, causing an uproar.
Beiming Lie was a top prodigy, one of the four alliance leaders, his power deeply ingrained in everyone’s minds. The Haoran Alliance was newly founded; its members were recent recruits, and many worried whether they could withstand Beiming Lie’s assault.
Some disciples even felt regret, fearing they should not have joined the Haoran Alliance.
While the crowd was uneasy, a burly man emerged from the inner courtyard, stretching his limbs.
"Beiming Lie, who gave you the audacity to cause trouble on Senior Brother Wang’s turf?"
His words showed no regard for Beiming Lie. His massive frame resembled a giant elephant—truly intimidating.
Beiming Lie’s gaze narrowed upon seeing him, wary. "Xu Ke the Mighty Elephant…"
But he soon recalled the arts he had cultivated, regaining confidence and declared arrogantly, "Perhaps before training the Dao taught by Elder Chen, I’d have feared you somewhat. But now, your brute strength means nothing to me!"
Beiming Lie laughed loudly, suddenly leaping forward, forming a hand seal and striking fiercely toward Xu Ke’s broad head.
Xu Ke was at first unconcerned, believing himself invincible below the Golden Core in physique. Aside from Wang Ran, even Ye Cang would be troubled by him.
Yet as the Dao seal approached, a sense of unease dawned in Xu Ke. His entire body tensed, he retreated rapidly, raising his arms to shield his head.
The seal hit with lightning speed, exploding instantly. Xu Ke remained standing, but his brow twitched—his arms were now bloodied and mangled.
He recalled the moment Beiming Lie struck; he sensed an invisible aura, bearing a proud, heaven-defying will, woven into the Dao art, which wounded him.
"What kind of Dao art is this?" Xu Ke was shocked, staring at Beiming Lie in alarm.
The "Haoran Righteousness Technique" was a cultivation method focused on aura, but it differed from pure dominance: dominance was about explosive force, a single burst, whereas the "Haoran Righteousness Technique" was continuous, able to augment other arts, greatly enhancing their power.
Xu Ke’s physique was strong, but aura was intangible, impossible to resist—and caught off guard, he was injured.
Seeing this, Beiming Lie rejoiced, certain that Elder Chen had indeed granted him a great opportunity.
This "Haoran Righteousness Technique" was marvelous; with it, he could sweep through all the prodigies of the Hall of Enforcement!
With renewed confidence, Beiming Lie glanced at the shocked crowd in the courtyard, his face radiant with satisfaction. He formed another hand seal, threateningly declared:
"I’ll ask one more time—where is Wang Ran!"
