Chapter 10: Why Are You Leveling Up So Fast?
The two of them reached the edge of the rooftop and looked down.
With attributes overwhelmingly superior in every regard, ordinary zombies were no match for Lu Bu—not even for a single exchange. He was like a hungry wolf leaping into a flock of sheep, though to call him a wolf wasn’t quite apt; it was more accurate to say he was a Godzilla rampaging among helpless sheep.
The halberd he wielded was even taller than Lu Bu himself, its blade constantly in motion, stained with the zombies’ dark, brownish-black blood, gleaming ominously in the sunlight. Each swing brought death to several zombie monsters at once. In his presence, mutated zombies were indistinguishable from the ordinary ones, falling just as quickly. The once-crowded street below was rapidly cleared of a vast swath of the undead.

“My goodness, is this really just a level-one summoned spirit?”
“If you told me he was an intermediate-class professional, I’d believe it.”
“So this is what it means to be a summoner with a super S-class talent? No wonder the entire human race would pour resources into nurturing him.”
“He’s just level one, just stepped onto the path of the profession, and yet already rivals the intermediate class?”
Wang Zihao, shocked, began to develop some misconceptions about super S-class talents, mistakenly thinking all such talents could be this fearsome.
The pleasant sound of accumulating experience values kept ringing in their ears, making Wang Zihao feel delighted.
Beside him, Song Qi opened his item bar.
[Ding! Would you like to use the Triple Experience Card?]
“Yes!”
[Successfully used!]
[Your experience gain is now 300%! Duration: two hours.]
With the triple experience card and the captain’s 5% experience bonus, Song Qi’s gained experience was 3.05 times that of Wang Zihao!

Every system notification meant another hundred points of experience flooding into Song Qi.
To level up, a professional needed increasingly more experience with every ten levels: level one required ten thousand experience, level two twenty thousand, and by level ten it was one hundred thousand. But level eleven demanded not one hundred ten thousand, but two hundred thousand experience points. Level twelve required three hundred thousand, and so on. By level twenty, it was a million, and level twenty-one required two million. For a level thirty professional, the requirement soared to ten million.
Simply put, every ten levels formed a step, with the required experience multiplying tenfold each time. Though monsters of corresponding levels offered more experience, their increase wasn’t nearly as drastic.
“Haha, Brother Song, this is just too satisfying.”
“Just sitting here, and the experience points are shooting up.”
Wang Zihao couldn’t keep the grin from his face. He knew he’d gambled right. Song Qi’s leg was definitely worth clinging to.
“So this is the proper way to play a summoner?”
“This is too comfortable!”
Song Qi didn’t answer, but checked his panel.
[Experience: 2455/10000]
“Already two thousand four hundred experience. Just need to kill seventy more ordinary zombies to reach level two.”
“A low-level professional dungeon’s zombie horde usually numbers about a thousand, plus the experience from mutated zombies and the boss…”
He calculated that this dungeon could yield around one hundred thousand experience points.
“With one dungeon, I should be able to reach level four.”
“No wonder this is the hardest and most rewarding dungeon among the low-level ones.”
“If we’re fast enough, maybe I can use the triple experience card for another run!”
“Level six might be tough, but five should be no problem.”
“In three to five days, I can prepare to advance.”
A smile appeared on Song Qi’s face as well. For ordinary novice professionals, leveling up once a day was already impressive. He would reach level five in a single day!
Such progress was unattainable even for most super S-class talent holders. When the city lord returned, Song Qi’s rapid advancement would surely draw plenty of attention.
Song Qi had no intention of following a timid or cautious path. The journey of a professional was predestined: all resources must be fought for.
Take this [Zombie Horde] dungeon for example—it was a resource for humanity, a specially designed method to cultivate the backbone of the race.
Other professionals had to reach level ten before unlocking the [Zombie Horde] dungeon, and even then, there were limits on the number of times it could be entered. Ordinary professionals could open three dungeons a day at most, and special dungeons only once a week.
But Song Qi, as a super S-class talent holder, could enter ordinary dungeons without restriction! For special dungeons, he had three opportunities each day.
These privileges were granted only after he demonstrated enough potential. With them, he could quickly widen the gap between himself and the others.
If you’re quick once, you’ll be quick every step!
It was precisely because of this that Song Qi needed to display his value to the highest echelons of humanity as much as possible.
He wanted the entire leadership to notice him, to willingly pour their resources into his growth!
“But honestly, this leveling speed is abnormal. Won’t it draw special attention?”
Song Qi pondered, then quickly dismissed the concern.
“Then again… even if they’re confused, who would dare ask?”
As a super S-class talent holder, any anomaly could be attributed to his talent. Even if the city lord questioned him, he had the right to refuse to answer.
While Song Qi was thinking—
Boom!
A huge white light descended, enveloping him, followed by a golden glow entering his body.
This was the sign of leveling up.
[Congratulations! Your level has risen to LV2!]
“Hm? That quickly? I’ve already killed a hundred zombies?”
Song Qi opened his panel and checked.
Name: Song Qi

Just as when he first changed professions, Spirit, Agility, and Constitution had all increased, and his free attribute points rose from one to two.
Otherwise, there were no major changes.
Song Qi was momentarily caught off guard, but not surprised.
Beside him, Wang Zihao was dumbstruck. He frowned, checked his own experience bar, then looked at Song Qi, utterly confused.
His experience bar wasn’t even halfway full—how had Song Qi leveled up already?
Good heavens! Since when did the captain’s experience bonus become so high?
“Brother Song, how are you leveling up so fast…?”
“Don’t tell anyone. The principal gave me some things before, plus my talent, so…”
Song Qi whispered mysteriously, only offering half an explanation, but Wang Zihao immediately wore an enlightened expression.
“So that’s it, I knew there was something.”
“Understood, understood!”
Then he felt nothing but envy.
“No wonder, with a super S-class talent, not only are there privileges to open special dungeons, but special treatment too—even leveling up is so much faster than ours.”
