In an era when supernatural fiction is no longer in vogue, choosing to write in this genre is, to some extent, to knowingly run into obstacles.

I have been writing for five years—since 2014 until 2019. I began with supernatural suspense, went through a year of transitions, and tried my hand at new genres.

After experiencing so many different themes, I found that my passion for writing had dwindled to the point where I could barely carry on.

Writing stories I didn’t love became nothing more than a tool for survival—a way to put food on the table.

But there are many ways to make ends meet; one need not be picky, and in this world, no one truly starves.

I am a writer who loves supernatural tales. Though I’m not a literary giant, writing these stories has changed my way of life, and will continue to shape it in the future.

Returning to pen chilling, suspenseful tales has rekindled the joy I felt when I first started writing—back when, after a whole year, I earned only six hundred yuan, yet still spent my days and nights yearning to craft ever more thrilling plots.

For someone like me, who creates out of love, switching genres never truly suited me.

I adore supernatural stories, and I want to share the books I love with everyone, in hopes that you’ll love them too.

All the folk stories in this book are inspired by real customs and traditions.

I hope those who love Stealing Life will continue to support it. From today, updates will double each day and become much more regular.
